Baseline Configuration

Altiris Protect prevents permanent changes to your carefully developed baseline system configuration. Each new user session starts with that configuration, and though users are free to make changes to the system by installing applications, saving files, or changing configuration settings, the baseline is never altered. DLLs and other shared system files, are automatically managed as users install new applications, The new application operates with its preferred DLL, leaving the baseline configuration untouched.

With Atliris Protect preventing baseline configuration changes, each system is more stabile, more reliable, and more trustworthy. You no longer need to worry that a previous user might have altered the system configuration, nor do your users. Each system is always configured the way you want it. Each new user session starts fresh, and system reboots are not required, which saves valuable time.
